TL;DR
We replace or refund any item that arrives defective, mis-printed, wrongly delivered, or damaged in transit. We do not accept returns for change of mind, wrong size ordered, or "didn't feel as cathartic as expected" — every item is printed only after you place your order.
Why no standard 14-day right of withdrawal
Under Article L221-28 (3°) of the French Consumer Code and equivalent EU provisions, the legal 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised. All Red Candle Club products are printed on demand after the order is placed, which falls squarely within this exemption.
What we will refund or replace
You are entitled to a free replacement or full refund (including return shipping if applicable) in the following cases:
- · Manufacturing defect — holes, broken seams, distorted print, fabric defects
- · Wrong item shipped — wrong design, wrong size, or wrong color compared to your order
- · Damaged in transit — package or product visibly damaged on receipt
- · Lost in transit — package marked as delivered but not received, or no tracking update after 30 days
What we will not refund
- · Change of mind / no longer want the item
- · Wrong size ordered (please refer to the size guide before ordering — every product page links to it)
- · Slight color variations (±5%) inherent to DTG printing
- · Print placement variations (±0.5 inch) — manual production tolerance
- · Wash damage (please follow the care instructions on the product page)
- · Customs duties paid by the recipient (see Shipping Policy)
How to submit a claim
- Step 01 Contact us at contact@datacapital.fr within 30 days of delivery, mentioning your order number.
- Step 02 Attach clear photos showing the defect, mis-print, or damage. For "lost in transit" cases, attach the tracking screenshot.
- Step 03 We forward the claim to our fulfillment partner Printify. Once approved (usually within 5 business days), we ship a free replacement or refund the original payment.
Refund processing time
- · Card / Apple Pay / Google Pay — 3 to 10 business days
- · PayPal — 1 to 3 business days
Defects vs care
Items damaged by improper washing (hot wash, tumble dry, bleach) or improper use (ironing the print, abrasive contact) are not eligible for refund. Care instructions are listed on each product page — please follow them.
Customs duties & international refusal
If your package is refused at customs and returned to sender, we are unable to refund the original shipping costs nor the customs charges. The product cost will be refunded once we confirm the package has been returned to our fulfillment partner.
